Shogai Wa Michi - the obstacle is the way.

Inspired by concepts linked to wabi sabi, I explore experience and perception through observation of self. Emotional narrative informs each body of work using moments to establish composites of view. Much of the exploration is about immediacy, stripping away reference and back-story.

MICHI (path/road/way in Japanese) is a developing theme around the concept that the obstacle is the way, to go directly at the difficulties and unknowns of existence.
